Managing privacy choices

We collect data so we can deliver financial services, provide content that’s relevant to you and your child, and to comply with applicable laws and regulations. For more details, review our Privacy Statement.

Personal data request

To request a download of your and your child’s personal data:

  1. In your account’s Settings, select Security and privacy
  2. Select Manage your data
  3. Select Download personal dataRequest personal data

We’ll notify you by email once your request is complete and your download is available. It may take a few weeks to prepare your download. Once it’s ready, your data will be available to download in the app for 30 days.

What's in the download

Personal information in the following categories will be included in the download. The download is not an exhaustive list of personal information, and is limited as provided by federal laws governing financial institutions. Review our Privacy Statement for more details.

Data you provide

Personal information may include your name, email address, physical address, date of birth, citizenship, number of dependents, and marital status.

For information about biometric data you provide, review Verify it’s you.

Data from other sources

Data we generate is your gender, inferred by your first name.

What's not in the download

Not all the data we collect is included in your personal information download. We follow laws and regulations that outline what we’re required to share. For more information about the data we collect, how that data is used, and how we protect your privacy, review our Privacy Statement.

Data deletion request

To make a data deletion request:

  1. In your account’s Settings, select Security and privacy
  2. Select Manage your data
  3. Select Request data deletionDelete non-essential data

We’ll notify you by email once your request is complete and your data has been deleted. Review Updating your notification settings to manage your notifications.

Note

Making a request to delete data won’t delete your account.

What's deleted

Not all your data is deleted because some of it is essential for your account or is required or permitted to keep under laws governing financial institutions.

Note

We retain personal information that is necessary for us to fulfill our legal obligations and that isn't otherwise subject to deletion under applicable law.
