Account access while traveling

A few things to keep in mind when you use your child’s Trump Account while traveling internationally.

Can I access my child’s account while traveling internationally?

You can access your child’s account from almost anywhere. However, U.S. laws restrict access from certain countries. Because of these rules, and for security reasons, you won’t be able to access your child’s account from the following countries:

  • Belarus
  • Cuba
  • Iran
  • Myanmar
  • North Korea
  • Russia
  • Sudan and South Sudan
  • Syria
  • Ukraine
  • Venezuela
Keep in mind

The list of restricted countries can change at any time.

If you try to log in from one of these locations, your child’s account may be temporarily restricted. If that happens, we can only restore access after confirming you are no longer in a restricted country.

Note

Long term travel is subject to additional reviews, restrictions, and supervision. If you’ve been abroad for an extended period of time, you may need to contact support if there’s a restriction on your account.

Best practices

  • If your device is lost or stolen, contact us right away to freeze your child’s account and help prevent fraud or unauthorized activity. Keep in mind that after your child’s account is frozen, you’ll need to provide some information, such as a photo ID and bank statement to validate your identity before we can restore access. The process can take a few days.

  • Before you travel, make sure your contact information is up-to-date and you can access it. If we suspect unauthorized account activity, we may need to reach you.

  • Keep your password private. Never share it with anyone. Our Support team will never ask for your child’s account password, verification codes, or login details for other accounts.

  • Plan ahead when traveling. Remember that you may not be able to access your child’s account or complete transactions while in a restricted country.

  • Only use trusted internet connections. Avoid public Wi-Fi, such as in airports or hotels, which may not be safe and could expose your personal information.

  • Use strong and unique passwords. Don’t reuse passwords across different services or apps. A password manager can help you create and store your passwords more securely.
